+$20 printing fee paid to instructor during first session

Before color film photography came along in the early 1900s, photographs were hand-tinted using diluted oil paints. In this workshop series, participants will hand color photographic images using modern materials like watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, and diluted oils or acrylics. Participants will also learn best papers to print on, preparation, and archival finishing techniques. $20 printing fee covers prints made from participants' own photography. Diana's art practice is centered around collaborations and process over product - experimenting with how organic mediums interact in order to achieve how she perceives the environments she traverses through. She has a penchant for experimenting with historic photographic processes, beeswax, and natural pigments - all done from her home studio high in the Mojave Desert, her tiny studio home on wheels, or via a backpack in the wildernesses.
