I am Terry Hastings, a Palm Springs based photographic artist.  I have been paying all my bills since the beginning of the pandemic from my art sales and artistic endeavors with over 50% of my sales coming from the internet.  This will be a two-hour class helping you to understand what is out there and most importantly, where to start. We will cover personal websites and how important they really are, social media and spreading the word about your art and E-commerce, the best, easiest and most appropriate sites for selling your art.  This will be a personalized class, so come to class and be ready to tell me what media you work in, the usual size of your art and the price of a single piece, whether it be in the tens, hundreds or thousands of dollars. These three pieces of information will determine which websites you should use to sell on and the next steps of your internet journey.  I will have handouts of all the social media sites, website builders and sales platforms that I mention so you can look them up at home. If you can post a photo on Facebook, you have the skills necessary to start selling your art on the internet.
