Artist Statement

I have a deep passion for art and color. My bold, extravagant style, marked by bright colors and extremes, has been a defining characteristic of my work from a young age I paint what I find beautiful, a world of swirling colors, glitter, and iridescent Sheen. My work reflects A warped perspective, shaped by the places I've been, things I've seen. Using acrylic on canvas allows me to control the flow and density of the paint. I draw inspiration from both my imagination and visual cues. Then adding glitter, pigments, and various techniques, I create colorful abstractions of the reality I perceive, loose brush strokes and dramatic color contrast helps me emphasize the feeling and spontaneity while layering paint to achieve the desired outcome and finding beauty and imperfection.
Finally, I customize vintage frames unique to each painting to complete its story. I treat the frame as an extension of the artwork rather than a finishing detail. Each frame is uniquely designed and altered to complete the narrative of the painting, finishing each piece.
