Atomic Art: Other Images and Faces of Modernism

Atomic Art is an event that engages the wider Coachella Valley community in Modernism Week by exhibiting art work, hands on art and images other than architecture and design that became significant during the 1950s.  The Desert Art Center presents to the public the other faces and images of Modernism; sputnik, science shapes of the atom, airstream trailer vacations, cars with tail fins, tattoos on returning WWII sailors, glamor girls on airplane noses and many others.  Celebrate the other faces of modernism.
