WORKSHOP: Drawing the Head with Jessica Schiffman

Join us at The Desert Art Center on February 17th and 18th, 2024, for our two-day workshop, "Drawing the Head," taught by Jessica Schiffman. You'll discover the art of drawing the human head and neck. Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, you'll benefit from the relaxed and supportive atmosphere as you learn the planes and proportions of the head, as well as the features, angles, and techniques needed to create a recognizable drawing of a friend or family member. During the workshop, you will draw from diagrams and photographs, and we will provide a large selection of images to choose from. However, don't forget to bring several photos of the person you wish to draw as your final project. Drawings will be done in graphite or charcoal, and teacher demos and individual attention will be provided to ensure you get the most out of the experience. With nearly thirty years of experience as an artist and twenty years of teaching, Jessica Schiffman will inspire and instruct you to develop your skills and improve your craft.
